TM Lewin and Big Red Management in Edinburgh
Edinburgh and T M Lewin Event
'Picture the scene. The blossom is spilling off the trees in St Andrews Square and Edinburgh Castle is sitting majestically at the top of the Royal Mile. Life surely couldn’t get any better; or so I thought!
I was in Edinburgh doing what I love best. Schmoozing and for me it does not get any better than being surrounded by men and women who have a fascination for a sport with odd shape balls. I had the great fortune to be able to work with Big Red Management in co-hosting a networking evening in our T.M.Lewin store in Edinburgh. In my opinion it is probably, architecturally, one of our prettiest stores. We have over 80 stores now dotted around the UK and I have had the privilege of visiting most of them and this has to be one of my favourites. Don’t take my word for it come and see for yourselves at 48 George Street, Edinburgh where Keith and the guys will be happy to show you around.
I digress, getting carried away with the architecture when I must tell you about the absolutely charming gentlemen who grace the pitch at Murray field on a regular basis for their country. Andy Robinson, the head coach for Scotland, was my model for the night as we had decked him out completely in a suit, shirt and tie from T.M.Lewin – even down to the cufflinks! Andy was there to bolster the boys, namely Big Jim Hamilton, Ali Hogg and Kyle Traynor as they were questioned and teased by the master of ceremonies Mark Spoors from Big Red Management. Jim was charming and a huge hit with the ladies – his stature could have been part of the attraction, Ali was delightful and full of stories whilst the baby of the group, Kyle, had to ‘fess up as to what his initiation was on his 1st Cap for Scotland. Apparently he had to sing a song to the team on the coach on the way to his first big game. He chose an Amy Winehouse number…. We will leave it right there.'
